Intellectual property

The Webmux name and logo are trademarks of Alpha Tech SAS. The content of this website — text, layout and images — is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

The software itself is a different question, and it is deliberately open:

  • The Webmux Server is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3.0 only (AGPL-3.0-only) — you may read, modify, self-host and redistribute it under those terms.
  • The @webmuxapp/schemas and @webmuxapp/ds packages are distributed separately under Apache-2.0, so a third-party client can consume the protocol without the AGPL obligations.
  • The Webmux Sidecar binary is proprietary software of Alpha Tech SAS, governed by the Webmux Sidecar License.

Personal data and cookies

Alpha Tech SAS is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website and the Webmux service. What we hold, why, for how long and how to exercise your rights is set out in the Privacy Policy; the cookies we set are listed in the Cookie Policy. You may lodge a complaint with theCNIL, the French supervisory authority.

Note that the content of your terminal sessions is encrypted end to end between your own server and your own browser: we do not hold it and cannot read it.
